Gardemarin ship control system for Rybinsk Verfi

Task
Project problem:
The courts lacked a system that would allow:
- automate the collection of information on important indicators of the infrastructure (ship systems) and equipment of the ship;
- create a convenient and up-to-date interface for displaying information on the operation of ship systems, with prompts and alerts on important and/or critical deviations;
- to operate the ship's secondary systems, such as running lights, heating and ventilation systems, etc.
Decision
A hardware-software complex installed on the ship has been developed to provide easy monitoring of all shipboard systems.
Technology stack, engine:
Java for Windows, Linux and Mac OS.
Result
- the system speeds up the decision of the responsible person (captain, navigator, etc.);
- the system allows remote control of non-critical systems (lighting, etc.);
- the system was implemented on six ships with a different set of functions.
Project timeline, labor costs:
2 months for 1 type of small vessel.
